It's not really a reservation website but you can search through their websites and book directly with the hotel. It's like a google of the hospitality industry. and without the hassle of leaving your home. You can even book in the holidays
because they are open 24 hours, 7 days a week to serve travelers like you. Hotel reservation account Last summer I made hotel reservations using HotelsCombined.com. The price was lower than traditional means. I was able to select among several hotels in the area. It was easy to confirm that my reservations had been made properly. Price I stayed at Santa Barbara's Radisson hotel. If I had called for reservations the price of accommodations would have been approximately 20% higher. According to the front desk, I got a much better deal with HotelsCombined.com than by using an AAA discount. I'm not sure that I could not have gotten a better price from Expedia but HotelsCombined.com has some better features. Selection I wanted to be near my destination(s). I had already driven hundreds of miles to get to Santa Barbara in the first place. Since I was on vacation I didn't want to deal with traffic or getting lost or anything. It was important for me to know how close the hotel was to my friend's wedding and tourist attractions. First I tried Priceline.com. I entered my parameters but I had no idea where I'd wind up staying. I only knew it would be in Santa Barbara. Priceline.com has a no refund policy. I didn't want to pay for an accommodation I may not want because of distance or quality. I felt as if I were reaching into a grab bag so I hopped over to HotelsCombined.com. Now, Priceline.com states that it only provides accommodations at quality hotels & motels. Quality is a subjective term. Marriott hotels are a well known "quality" chain. I have had nothing but heartache out of Marriott hotels. I did not want to risk winding up in a Marriott. When I have stayed at Marriotts with friends and coworkers they found it enjoyable. I never have, but I digress. Sometimes amenities are an issue. When I'm on vacation I like to go to the gym. When I'm on a business trip I like to know that I can have high speed Internet access. Since I didn't know where I might be staying before I offered up payment information at Priceline it was impossible to know. My experience at HotelsCombined.com was totally different. At HotelsCombined.com I was able to put in my destination and get a variety of listings from which to choose. I was able to view available amenities at each hotel as well as the hotel’s rating. Note: Priceline.com only shows 1 - 3 star hotels and motels whereas HotelsCombined.com also provides information on 4 star hotels. I was also able to hop over to Mapquest to determine how far away I would be from the wedding and tourist attractions before making my selection. Confirmation In addition to receiving a confirmation number and e-mail etcetera, all the regular stuff I decided to go a small step further. I called the Radisson immediately verify my reservation. Everything was taken care of according to the clerk. There were no problems when I arrived either. HotelsCombined.com provides trip planning tips. These include weather forecasts for your trip. Sight seeing ideas and nightlife. Driving directions, places to pick up incidentals and Consulate locations. It is cursory but it points you in the right direction to get to the good stuff. Journey through booking Sometimes, it's very hard to plan a vacation or a trip even with the help of travel agents. Especially when the trip is really long or has many flights or requires many hotel reservations and rent-a-cars, it takes a lot of time and effort just planning it. Good thing there is the internet, now you can plan your travels without going through the traditional travel agents. If your going to travel to different countries and locations and need to book 10 flights, 9 hotel accomodations and 9 rent-a-cars, you can do this through the internet in 4 hours or less. You'll even find the best deals and discounts for the hotels. Although, online travel reservations usually charge US$5 as booking fee, but with the time and sweat that you save, it's all worth it. You can always book directly at each airline's website, but you'd be spending so much time finding and comparing airline rates. So, online travel website is still the way to go. There are numerous online travel agencies, the most popular ones are, Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, Hotwire and Priceline. There are also the not so popular ones like Hoteldetective.net but a subsidiary of one of the biggest travel service providers in the world, Cendant Travel Distribution Services Division. You'll be overwhelmed with the number of deals and discounts you'll be able to find in the internet. Just google it and you'll be suprised with the results. Sometimes, these travel agencies have very good offers, they'll take care of everything once you book with them. You can also use them as information resources to help you plan your trip. Renting cars has also been very easy with the internet around, especially when you join those frequent-driver exclusive clubs which works like airline mileages. When you book online, you can just skip those rental counters/tellers and just go straight to driving your rented car. All of these planning can be done with the help of the internet. Services and waiting time are reduced since you have all the information served to you in a single platter. Hotels to Go Booking online has become a trend nowadays. You can reserve your next flight or you can book a suite in a five-star hotel with just a few clicks of the button. Questions you usually ask the booking agent are answered ahead in the FAQs. Lots of online companies offer this magnificent service. Even hotels went online. One of these is Marriott, a famous five-star hotel chain. A visit to their website is ike being welcomed in the hotel itself. The web design is elegant and luxurious which is what the hotel is known for. A search for Marriott hotels in Thailand gave nine results. The hotel also offers Timeshare Vacations, giftcards and certificates, and they also have an online store. The largest hotel chain BestWestern offers moderately priced room. BestWestern was founded in 1946 by M.K. Guertin, a California-based hotelier with 23 years of experience in the lodging industry.
