Welcome to Phuket International Airport (HKT), gateway to Phuket Island, a paradise of tourists in the southern part of Thailand. HKT is now under supervision of the Airports Authority of Thailand. Nowadays, 10 airlines are on service and more than 2,900,000 passengers, 20,000 flights and 12,000 tons of cargo are handled at this airport.

Located at longitude 98 18' 45" and latitude 08 06' 38", 82 feet above sea level, Phuket International Airport is 32 kms. from downtown Phuket.

To and From The Airport
Thep Kasatri road is the main road connecting the airport and downtown.

In the arrival hall, passengers can contact for several kinds of transportation services such as limousines, car rentals and microbus.

Immigration

Passenger departing Thailand must have passport checked by Immigration Officer. Besides passport, boarding pass and completed immigration card No. 6 [ T.M.6] form must also be presented as well. Arriving passenger is required to fill out immigration card No.6 [T.M.6] form of Immigration Office.

International Passengers

1. Payment of the PSC at special PSC Cash Counters
Payment can be made in cash. Refunds will be given to travellers if they decide not to fly.

2. Parment of the PSC via PSC Ticket Vending Machines
The PSC ticket vending machines will take Thai Baht only. While the PSC vending machines for domestic travel will take Thai Baht notes in the denomination of 20, 50 and 100 as well as 10 Baht coin. The PSC machines for international travel will take Thai Baht notes of 50,100,500,1,000 and 10 Baht coin. All machines will give change.

WARNING Government Regulations

• All passengers over the age of 2 are required to pay the Passenger Service Charges.
• Passengers without a PSC ticket will not be permitted to fly.
• Payment of PSC is governed by the law of the Kingdom of Thailand. Please contact the PSC Counter for any queries.
• PSC ticket can be purchased in cash US $ 11 at PSC Counter.

Vat Refund forTourists
VAT refund can be claimed at VAT Refund for Tourist counter of HKT at international departure lounge. Claim must be made under the conditions of Revenue Department.

Phuket International Airport, with the area of 2.31 sq.kms. located at the southern part of Thailand about 862 Kilometres from Bangkok International Airport in terms of air traffic movement capacity. The Airports Authority of Thailand (AAT) has taken over Phucket International Airport since 8 October 1988.   The main Contruction The Passenger Terminal of this airport is a 3 storey building on total space of 23,800 sqms. which its first floor is designated as domestic and international arrival passenger lounge. The second floor is domestic and international departure lounge and the third floor is set as the area for airline offices and restaurant. The runway of this airport is 3,000 metres long and 45 metres wide with parking apron of 97,635 sqms. accommodating 19 aircraft. Cargo Terminal covers the total area of 1,100 sqms. with capability to serve cargo of 6,000 tons/year.
