We strongly recommend every visitor to Phuket take at least one day – or more if possible - to travel off Phuket Island to experience some of the incredible beauty of the surrounding region. You can go by boat to islands of many kinds, or drive a car to the interesting and scenic provinces close by.

Day trips
The easy way, of course, is to simply purchase a ticket for a day trip – though it is not likely to be the best way. By far the most popular organised day trips out of Phuket are:

With reason, this is now one of the most popular day tours out of Phuket. There's no better way to appreciate the inner world of strange geographic formations, plant and animal life of Phang Nga Bay than to paddle quietly through its caves and lagoons in sea canoes.

This strange but over-rated rock was featured in the Bond film, The Man with the Golden Gun. It's never been quiet since.Tourists both by bus and luxury boat  tours to Phang Nga Bay are deposited here and besieged by vendors.

This small island a few kilometres off the south-east corner of Phuket is the most popular with island day-trippers.
